Maui’s Recovery
The tragic events of August 8th have left our community and our staff forever changed, but not without hope. We are excited to be welcoming back our guests, our friends, and our ‘ohana back to Napili Kai Beach Resort. Your visit can make such a positive impact on our recovery. Your presence helps to employ our amazing staff and helps to sustain our local businesses.
Maui is a place of warmth, hospitality and community. We will overcome this adversity and we will be strong together. We invite you to kokua (help) us on our journey to heal and rebuild.
While our community warmly welcomes you back to West Maui, we respectfully request that Lahaina Town remain a space for only local residents and essential workers. Please do not stop on the bypass or streets to take pictures or to get a closer view. West Maui is accessed via the bypass which will come down on Keawe Street by the Lahaina Gateway Shops. Please proceed directly past the Lahaina area and into Ka’anapali and beyond to enjoy restaurants, beaches, activities and of course Napili Kai. Most of our grocery stores, shops and restaurants have either re-opened or will be open by early October.

Each of our staff as well as all Maui residents have been affected differently by this heart-breaking disaster. It is important to be sensitive, not to pry and avoid triggering memories that they may not be ready to share. Instead, please allow our staff and Maui residents to open up to you, if they choose. Be patient. Focus on offering aloha and support and respecting their boundaries. Mahalo for your understanding.
